Run

Since a couple of weeks, I had always hated running. I thought of it as a boring and tough "sport". You just need to keep your legs on going. That's all. Boring.

Nevertheless, after I realised that I was a little bit out of shape, I tried to make an effort and practice a little bit more of sport. The part that worries me the most was how to find an sport that I could daily practice and keep it constant.

With that thought in mind, I got to the gym to work out. It was monday, a very hardcore day, so I stayed there, looking at the treadmill. That day, I run 40 minutes and I got rid of 330 calories up on that machine. So I decided to keep on with my training and I did also toning exercises for 20 minutes.

That day, when I was going back home, I was feeling very comfortable, apart from really sweaty, seeing myself capable of enduring the training. That feeling was so strong and nice that pushed me to the gym on tuesday. And wendesday and thursday. 4 days in a row. Wooooooow! It was too much for me. But the best part is that this week I've started going running without even thinking. Today is wednesday and I've already run 80 minutes and made 40 min of toning training. Today, right afterwork, I'm going for my daily session. And what makes me feel really good is that as the days go by I felt less tired, more fit and resistent.

Looking for the easter egg

It's been two weeks since we started our business english class. Other four collegues and I are attending these lessons to improve our knowledge of the language in order to provide a better service to our company's customers.

Today we have talked about the bank holidays we enjoyed last weekend. As I told in another post, I went to London with M to visit L and sightsee the city. It was really cold, but as amazing as I had imagined before going. We visit different street markets (Borough Market, Brick Lane second hand Market, Spitafield's Market...), the British Museum, the National Gallery, Soho, Chinatown, St. Paul's Cathedral, The TATE Modern, Greenwich... from there, we got a wonderful view of the city.

We also ate a lot! English food...  but not only. Italian, Turkish, Chinese, Thai... everything was incredibly good. Fortunately we walked soooo many miles we could get rid of the calories!

That was the fourth time I visited this overwheelming city, but I can't get tired of it, so I'm sure I'll be back.

Sightseeing in London with our sunglasses

This sunday is M's birthday. I have been thinking for days what present he would like. I use to go more for experiential presents, such as a concert or plane ticket, but this time I prefer something different, something he really doesn't expect. So finally, after lots of thoughts, I have decided to give him a Rayban sunglasses. The classic ones. Like my sunglasses. Same model (Wayfarer), same color (black).

So today, just after work, I'm going to gather up the present! And we have already thought about our anniversary that is coming in April! That's one of the best moments to travel, so we have already  bought our tickets to London. Nice city to walk with our pair of sunglasses, isn't it?!

London! Here we go!

Healthy challenge

Two days ago, a friend of mine challenged me with an interesting idea. She proposed me to take a photo of my  meals during a week. That idea came from a new diet I've just started, following my doctor advice, because I've got the cholesterol level a little bit high.

So, from today on, I'm going to take a picture of my dishes just to show my friend and whoever reaches this blog what is my diet composed of.

I let you see a proof:

2013 Resolution

I've just decided that I want to try writing next posts in English, just to keep in touch with this language that I've not studied anymore since I passed my FCE exam last june. I'm not happy at all with don't studying English, but I need to be realistic: I have no time left to follow scheduled classes, as I used to do during last year. That's why I have this strong resolution of writing in English about daily things or thoughts. I know that I'm going to make a lot of mistakes, but I really don't mind. If you don't make mistakes, you don't get any better!

As bloggers use to say... Thanks for reading!
